The Way Of Victory
Many people are crying out for God to move upon the land and prepare hearts; this, in a sense, is unscriptural (though it is not wrong to pray). “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.” (John 4:35-36)
The problem is not in the world, it is in the church. If the church is cleansed, the world will be changed. Corruption cannot advance when the light of God’s glory shines. I believe Christ weeps in heaven over this portion of scripture -
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16)
If the Church of Jesus Christ would return to her first love, the world would be turned up side down once again. Many people, sadly, in the church have, in their hearts, drawn back from the call of God and He is not pleased (Hebrews 10:38).
Oh that God would revive His people once again in Jesus’ name.
If we want to see souls coming into the kingdom, lives changed, then let us take the stepping stones, as a man of God would say, that God has placed in His Word.
“No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.” (Luke 11:33-36)
If our eye is single, our whole body shall be full of light; men will then see our good works and glorify God in heaven. If the church will simply let the light shine, the darkness will be gone.
Why do we not heed the call? It is because, as scripture says of the last days, men love themselves rather than God. Please, honestly ask your self that question: do you love yourself more than God? Do you draw near to God with your lips when your heart is far from Him? Do you sing hallelujah at church yet have compromise in your heart?
Jesus today, like he did to the churches in Revelation, is calling for repentance; for men to forsake all for the sake of His kingdom and glory.
Why on earth would we do anything else? Is not the Lamb that was slain worthy to receive the reward of His sufferings? Is it not a privilege to give our all to Him who gave His all for us?
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2)
Let us, as Jesus said, have that single eye. If our eyes our focused on Christ alone and, above all else, we seek first His kingdom and righteousness, all else will be added.
Fix your gaze upon Christ Jesus and seek Him with all your heart. When you find Him, you will find life and that life is the light of men. Walk then in the light that you have, obeying the promptings of God, and the light will shine brighter and brighter until that final day.
Oh that the lost would take knowledge that we have been with Jesus and cry out, “What must I do to be saved?”
Beloved, we can always triumph in Christ and make manifest the savour of His knowledge in every place; everywhere we go we can diffuse His fragrance.
There is nothing wrong on God’s part; we are more that conquerors through Him that loved us. The problem is with us. If we will remove the blockage, the rivers will flow once again and, as it says in Ezekiel, wherever the river goes there is life and healing. Hallelujah!
Church, hear me: there is a lost and dying world out there in need of Jesus. We have the Answer within us; Christ Jesus, the hope of glory. May we not blur His glorious image but seek His face and look to Him, with a single eye, not looking to the things of this world that are passing away, and God, who is faithful, will fill us with Himself and the world, under conviction, will say, “I need what you have.”
